The Tennessee Technology
Centers' mission is to be the premier provider for
workforce development throughout the state of Tennessee.
The centers fulfill the
mission by:

Providing competency-based
training through traditional and distance learning
instructional delivery systems of the highest quality that will qualify
individuals for employment and/or advancement in jobs.

Providing high quality
training and retraining of employed workers.

Providing high quality
training that is economical and accessible to all
residents of Tennessee, thereby contributing to the
economic and community development of the
communities we serve.
To enhance the quality

Specifically, the
Tennessee Technology Center at Newbern provides
technical support to existing business/industry to meet
the ever increasing demands for a highly trained and
skilled workforce.
The mission of the
Tennessee Technology Center at Newbern is to provide
technical and skill training to students in order to
meet occupational needs of employers in the service
area. Desirable worker characteristics are also
emphasized to instill good work habits, reliability,
honesty, and other attributes needed for a productive
society. It is our mission to provide the
opportunity for individuals to prepare for successful
employment; in addition, we assist those who have
previously entered the work force to upgrade their
skills and knowledge. We believe that all adults
who can profit from the training should be given the
opportunity to increase their knowledge, technical
information and occupational skills.
