Civitan and SkillsUSA Members from TTC Newbern Teamup to Build Wheelchair Ramps

Civitan/SkillsUSA Build Wheelchair Ramp

Civitans Jeff Jackson and Russ Maher along with Nick  Jackson, David Huntley, Lloyd Collier, Bart Williams and Dan Felkner teamed up with SkillsUSA members (Kurt Dugger, Bill Evans, David Goad and Casey Holman) and TTC Newbern Instructor, Craig Creswell, to construct a much needed wheelchair ramp for a local resident.

Instructor Craig Creswell was looking for an opportunity to involve his class in a worthwhile community service project and when contacted about helping build the ramp readily agreed to pitch in. Craig and four of his students --Casey Holman, Bill Evans, Kurt Dugger and David Goad --framed up the base structure and custom built the ramp landing.

The Dyersburg Civitan Club has partnered with United Cerebral Palsy/ Nashville to build wheelchair ramps for qualified individuals as part of the Tennessee Home Access Program.
